Mother Earth Sister Grace
Calling out like a blanket to mother earth--
listen to destiny, put out the fires of fate.
You our daughters, our mothers, our murdered and raped.
Take heed and beware of all the war fares of other sisters.
Brothers who will bind you to slavery in the disguise of power,
to lust and shame and greed. Be afraid not of your own ghost.
For there is no shadow where there is light.
There is no sorrow where there is compassion.
Be learned in the art of joy and spread its wealth all around.
Our oceans are as vast as our souls run deep.
And our thoughts should be kept light in the likeness of air.
Not high or inflated,
they serve us best to be light hearted and reaching for the divine.
